Every student account starts with 7 days of full premium access — every subject in the digital library for their grade, unlimited CEAs, and the recommendations that follow. No card, no M-Pesa prompt, nothing to cancel. After 7 days the account falls back to the Basic plan and keeps two subjects free for good; a family tops up tokens only when they want the rest.

Two, on the Basic plan, with no time limit and no payment: English and Social Studies for JSS learners, English and ICT for SSS learners. Those two come with the full digital library and unlimited CEAs for the subject. Every other subject sits in the Premium package.

Yes. Up to three of the subjects you actually teach, at your level (JSS or SSS), with unlimited lesson planning, unlimited CEAs on those subjects and the classroom presenter — free for individual teachers, forever. Need a fourth subject, or subjects outside your level? That is where the paid add-ons start. Otherwise you never pay.

Nothing is due when you sign up — every account, Premium included, opens at KES 0 and runs on the 7-day trial first. After that, parents top up tokens directly from the app via M-Pesa. One token costs KES 10 and buys one child one day of access to the Premium subjects — everything outside the two free Basic ones — with unlimited CEAs and the weekend revision queue. No card on file, no auto-renewal: pay only for the days you use. The Basic subjects stay free whether or not you hold a token.

KEYBAKI Labs (labs.keybaki.com) is our hands-on digital skills lab. Learners practise computer basics, typing, files, documents, the internet and staying safe online, in six learning areas. Every activity has three steps: Show me, Guide me and Let me try, with Tcha explaining each step out loud. Everything is safe practice, so nothing real is sent, changed or bought. You sign in with your KEYBAKI account.

Yes, it is part of the KEYBAKI family pass, with nothing extra to buy. A student starts with the 7-day trial; after that, Labs uses the same tokens as the Premium subjects (KES 10 per child per day). Teachers have Labs included, and parents have it while at least one of their children has KEYBAKI access. Labs works best on a computer with a keyboard and a mouse or touchpad, and needs an internet connection.

Lesson plans, bookmarked library items, and the classroom presenter work offline once you have opened them online at least once. New content and CEA submissions sync when you are back on a connection.

No. The family phone is the design target. One parent account can carry up to three child profiles, each with their own PIN. They sign in with the PIN — no email, no phone number, no exposed parent credentials.

Yes. We are KDPA-compliant (Kenya Data Protection Act 2019), child-safety reviewed, and store the minimum we need to run the service. You can export everything or delete the account at any time from the app’s Settings → Privacy panel.

Absolutely. Most accounts on Keybaki today are individual teachers and parents, not whole schools. Your child’s data and your lesson plans live with you, not the school. If your school does adopt Keybaki later, your account links in automatically.
