FAQ

Practical answers before you open Keybaki.

The short version: teachers can start free, parents can pay through M-Pesa when needed, and students can use the family phone.

Frequently asked

The questions parents and teachers ask first.

Is Keybaki really free for teachers?

Yes. Unlimited lesson plans, the full KICD library, up to 5 CEAs a week, and the classroom presenter are free for individual teachers. Paid add-ons are family-side and school-side.

How does the M-Pesa pricing work?

Parents top up tokens directly from the app via M-Pesa. No card on file, no auto-renewal, and no payment until you choose a premium add-on.

Does it work without internet?

Lesson plans, bookmarked library items, and the classroom presenter work offline once opened online. New content and CEA submissions sync when the connection returns.

Does my child need their own phone?

No. One parent account can carry multiple child profiles, and each child signs in with a PIN on the family phone.

Is my child's data safe?

Keybaki is designed around Kenya Data Protection Act expectations, child-safety review, minimal data collection, export, and account deletion controls.

Can I sign up if my school does not use Keybaki yet?

Yes. Individual teachers and parents can use Keybaki before a school-wide rollout. Your lesson plans and child profiles live with your account.
